Virus ; Dark Gym Leader

Believed to be born in the Johto region, Virus was orphaned as a child, .. though not by choice. Captured by two passing Drifloon's, the young baby was spirited away before his parents even noticed the stroller they left idle had been emptied. Found days later, though never reunited with his parents, his new given name would be rejected, later opting for the single name of his choosing.

Unsure of his own past, he gained an interest in all manner of legends and myths, and that of the unknown. Scouring the libraries of Johto, he came to discover a tale of another world; a reality that lives in opposition to ours, separated by a shadow veil. Curiosity grew until he came of age to begin his own journey, gaining permission to leave his orphanage for his training.

Given an Eevee as his new partner, he began to develop a love of all Pokemon who dwell in the darkness, .. those that not only seemed to have a link to the darkness, but those who seemed able to breech the shadow veil separating the two worlds. Specializing in Ghost and Dark Pokemon, his Eevee even evolving into an Umbreon beneath the light of a full-moon, he traversed Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and finally Sinnoh.

Through the study of artifacts, and the usage of many Pokemon to track rips within the shadow veil, his journey has led him in collecting a series of keys; keys which, when used in a fabled graveyard, could open a gateway to the other world. Found in Sinnoh, and guarded by a Ghost Dragon, this graveyard holds the final resting place for all the keys.

Methodical and devious, Virus enjoys complex strategy; even if that strategy becomes his own undoing. Gaining pleasure in debilitating an opponents Pokemon, he is not one for direct confrontation. Instead, he enjoys confusing the enemy, lowering their abilities, and weakening them to the point of exhaustion before going in for the kill. When an opponent is stumbling in circles, hitting itself, unable to see past the darkness that surrounds it; .. this is what he enjoys the most.

Through use of technology, he hopes to not only establish the whereabouts of the other world, but he also hopes to interact with it. Never going anywhere without his precious technology, wires can be found draped about his body, becoming a near network that connects not only himself to his research, but himself to the other continents. If there is ever a fluctuation or rip of the veil, he will be the first to know.

For now, his home is his Gym. Doubling as a cyber-cafe, he serves as a host to fund both his living expenses and his research. Catering to anyone who wishes to diverge hours of their lives to any practice, he mainly handles that of the recent uprising of video games. Serving along side him are a trio of lol's ; Na, Rosy, and Kat. Though they are all waitresses, each has their own special abilities, which have yet to be fully explored. Despite their young appearance, and gothic lolita attire, they are all experienced and dedicated battlers, so much so it is sometimes frightening. Na is currently his top trainer, and thus, is the one who stands beside him, defending both him, and the honor of the gym.
